Form 5500 Extended Filing Deadline is Fast Approaching

If your Company has a benefit plan that requires an annual audit, be aware that the extended filing deadline is October 16, 2017.Annual audits for employee benefit plans are required if the number of participants at the beginning of the plan year exceeds 100. These audits are required to be filed with the Plan’s Form 5500, which is generally due the last day of the seventh month after the end of the plan year (July 31 for a December 31 plan year-end).
